looking for support?
If a child or young adult in your family has lost a parent or primary caregiver due to domestic violence homicide, we want to hear from you.
TLC: The Love Continues provides ongoing support to children and young adults ages 0–22 who have lost a parent or primary caregiver to domestic violence homicide. We walk alongside children, young adults, and their families as they navigate grief and life after loss—connecting them with compassionate care, resources, and long-term support designed to promote healing, stability, and hope for the future.
Complete our confidential TLC Family Interest Form to tell us a little about your family, your needs, and how we may be able to support or connect you with resources.
Submitting an interest form does not guarantee enrollment, financial assistance, or specific services. A member of the Love & Protect Wisdom team will review the information provided and follow up regarding available support, resources, or next steps.
The Love Continues (TLC) is Love & Protect Wisdom’s initiative serving children and young adults, ages 0–22, who have lost a parent or primary caregiver to domestic violence homicide.
TLC bridges the gap between immediate crisis response and the long-term support children and families need following the loss of a parent or primary caregiver to domestic violence homicide.
Our goal is simple:
Rather than providing a single service or short-term intervention, TLC is envisioned as a network of care that grows alongside each child.
Meeting children and young people where they are — from the immediate aftermath of loss through important milestones in the years that follow.

A child’s needs do not disappear when the funeral ends.
Grief can resurface at different developmental stages. A young child may understand their loss differently years later. A teenager may experience new questions, grief, or responsibilities. A young adult may reach major milestones without the parent who should have been there.
But also, “Who will still be there tomorrow?”
TLC cannot—and should not—do this work alone. We are building a collaborative network that can include mental health professionals, domestic violence organizations, victim advocates, schools, child welfare partners, government agencies, community organizations, philanthropic partners, corporations, mentors, and families.
The goal is not to duplicate services already available.
The goal is to connect them, fill the gaps, and make sure children do not disappear between systems.
